EU-Russia Symposium / INVITATION

Dear Colleague,

The Organizing Committee invites you to take part in the 3rd International Symposium “EU-Russia: Prospects for Cooperation in Biotechnology in the Seventh Framework Programme” to be held on June 6-8, 2006 in St.Petersburg.

Symposium will address key issues of scientific and technological co-operation between the Russian Federation and European countries in the framework of FP7 Programme. It will provide new possibilities for strengthening and enhancing international cooperation between European and Russian scientists in the area of life science and biotechnology in particular in the fields affiliated to the Thematic Priority 5 of FP7 - Biotechnology, Agriculture and Food. Russian national technology platforms in the areas of Industrial Biotechnology, Forestry, Food Safety and Plant for the Future will be presented and discussed at the Symposium.

In the frame of the Symposium will be held
• international Conference of Young Scientists (oral presentations and poster session)
• a fair of innovative projects (poster session and appointment meetings)

Short information attached on hotels, transportation and important dates will help to plan and organize your trip to St. Petersburg.

Symposium does not charge a conference fee. However because of the limited number of participants of the Symposium and high tourist season the organizers reserve the right to decline some applications for hotel reservation.
