Title:  Innovative low cost highly accurate non-destructive on-line multiparameter methods and sensors for food and beverage.

Type Details: The main research lines of our laboratory are set to the study of composition and properties of different polar liquids, aqueous solutions and emulsions, powder, solids, polymers, composites, by the method of microwave millimeter and submillimeter wave spectroscopy. Many of food consist of such polar substance: water, moisture, active water, fat, salt, sugar, alcohol, organic acids, fat, oils. Microwave, millimeter wave and submillimeter wave spectroscopy has very good resources in monitoring many changing in physical and physical-chemical state of foodstuff during food processing like gelatinization, denaturation, aggregation, lipid oxiganation in oils, glass phase transitions in cripsy food and freezing process.

Details: Institute of Radio Engineering and Electronics RAS is well known scientific center carrying out fundamental and applied research on electrodynamics, acoustical, electrical, magnetic, properties of different materials and substances, among them are different organic and inorganic substances, and also living tissue.
